Sous Chef - Events The Role As Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of a high-volume, events-driven kitchen. You will be responsible for maintaining consistency, quality, and execution across a diverse range of events while leading and developing a large kitchen brigade. Key Responsibilities Support the Head Chef in all aspects of kitchen operations Lead, supervise, and mentor chefs across multiple sections Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, and portion control Assist with menu planning and development tailored to events and seasonal produce Oversee preparation and service for large-scale and premium events Assist with ordering, stock control, and minimising waste Maintain strict food safety, hygiene, and WHS standards at all times Step in to manage the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence About You You are a confident leader with a strong background in events, banqueting, or high-volume kitchens and a passion for delivering high-quality food at scale.
